Here are a few commonly-asked questions we get from investors.
Tokenization is the digital representation of a “real world asset” on a blockchain.
In general, tokenization is the process of issuing a digital, unique, and anonymous representation of a real thing. (McKinsey)
The fund is tokenized for multiple reasons
- Provide our LPs with greater flexibility of their investments
- Provide investors with greater transparency into fund operations and portfolio investments
- Increase access to investor groups that were previously unable to gain exposure to early-stage investments
- The future of investing – the future of financial services – is tokenized, and we are on the leading edge of innovation
- Provide the fund with greater efficiency
There are two channels that can be used to purchase shares in a fund:
- Primary market: The tokens of each fund are offered for purchase via a portal on the TrueScope Ventures website. The total tokens available represent the amount being raised for investment. Tokens will remain available until the entire allocation has been allocated.
- Secondary market: If an investor was unable to acquire tokens in the primary market, tokens can be acquired in the secondary market, which is accessed via the TrueScope Ventures site. Tokens must be acquired from a current investor(s) and the token price will reflect the current NAV and/or a price negotiated between the seller and buyer.
The benefits include liquidity, transparency, efficiency, and access.
